The Kaiser Advanced Engineering Metallography Lab Internship is a paid program that provides a rich and rewarding hands-on learning experience and the opportunity to make a contribution to our organization. The program targets University students who are rising juniors and seniors in Materials Science and Engineering. During the summer program, you gain exposure to Kaiser Aluminum technology and the opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment and learn from engineers and leaders within the organization. The intern will work aside metallography lab personal on various projects mainly in the lab environment.
The Process Engineering Internship is a paid program that provides a rich and rewarding hands-on learning experience and the opportunity to make a contribution to our organization. The program targets University students who are rising juniors and seniors in Materials Science and Engineering, or other related degrees, i.e. Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering. During the summer program, you gain exposure to Kaiser Aluminum technology and the opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment and learn from engineers and leaders within the organization. The intern will work aside process and manufacturing personal on various improvement projects on the production floor.

Requirements
What you will bring to the positions:
- Pursuing BS degree in Engineering (Material Science, Mechanical, Metallurgy, etc.)
- Excellent problem solving, investigative, experimental, and statistical analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in teams.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Approximately 60% of the job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. 40% of the job function is required in the plant. There is exposure to operating machinery and a manufacturing environment.
