SSSD has an opening for a Material Processes Technician 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

Electrical Component and Material Screening Labs needs a PCWO Technician/Inspector who will be responsible for performing the applicable PCWO steps on a variety of EEE electrical components to maintain the integrity of the flight material returning to flight stores or flight production labs. Candidate should have a complete understanding of the MRB process and be able to perform hands-on tasks and inspections on electronic materials with in-depth understanding of MIL-STDs. Candidate should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and being proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.

Conducts experiments and tests involving wafer, electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, optical, hydraulic, metallurgical, vacuum, or chemicals within fabrication or processing laboratories to support engineering and reliability analyses. Evaluates new processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications. Isolates problems for further analyses. Collects and documents results and generates reports. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May design experiments. May be required to ensure correct functioning and identify any discrepancies. May advise operators and inform engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience

Ability to follow test plans

Experience with Military Standards and/or quality inspections

Experience with lab equipment such as microscopes

Preferred Qualifications:

5-10 years of work related experience

MRB experience

Experience working at electronics failure analysis lab environment.

Good verbal & written communication skills

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) skills

Salary Range: $56,600.00 - $94,300.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
