Job Purpose
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of our production plans? We are seeking a dynamic Material Planner to join our team. As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for planning raw materials and packaging materials, ensuring seamless production operations while maintaining solid supplier relationships. If you have a high-level understanding of capacity planning, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for process improvement, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Material Planning:
- Review and update material planning to ensure the production plan can be executed smoothly.
- Create purchase orders and inform production planning on timelines, considering capacity agreements and storage capacity.
- Manage MRP exception messages and drive gatekeeping meetings with other departments.
- Balance service level and inventory targets of raw and pack materials while understanding cost impacts.
- Manage reduction and prevention of slow and obsolete stock and provide impact analysis when needed.
- Input and maintain inventory stocking policies of raw and pack materials in the ERP system.
Key Performance Indicators
- Ensure on-time and in-full targets (Delivery Capability).
- Maintain inventory within target levels and manage slow-moving and obsolete stock.
- Ensure material availability to support production schedules.
Level of Autonomy
As the Material Planner you will make decisions independently regarding material availability, low-impact exception management, and adjustment of replenishment policies for a set of products.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to challenge and improve the status quo.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Compensation/Benefits
The salary range for these skills is: $60,000 - $70,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
