Material Installer (Baggage Handing Systems)

The Material Installer will actively install, maintain, and repair conveyor belts and baggage/material handling systems in industrial settings. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and installation of crucial machinery.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the installation, alignment, and maintenance of conveyor belts and baggage/material handling systems, ensuring seamless operation with industrial environments.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience to ensure optimal operational functionality and efficiency.
• Perform proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyor systems and related equipment.
• Utilize welding and fabrication skills for repairs and modifications as required.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and industry regulations during installation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment statuses.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in baggage/material handling.
• Proficiency in conveyor belt installation, alignment, and maintenance.
• Strong welding, fabrication, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and technical drawings.
• U.S. work authorization required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling heavy materials or equipment regularly.
• Capability to work with hand tools, power tools and machinery while maintaining precision and control during installation and maintenance.
• Work primarily takes place in industrial facilities, warehouses or construction sites. Exposure to operating machinery, power tools and various equipment.
