Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Material Handler (Motor Vehicle Operator) without more than normal supervision. Receive, store, issue, and ship items in a warehouse.I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Personnel are often required to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, and to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions. Most tasks require quick hand and arm movements. Workers continually handle, carry, or lift items and/or bundles that weigh up to 40 pounds; however, in receiving and shipping, occasional lifting of bulk bundles weighing over 50 pounds is required. Dexterously move, position, or operate wheeled carts or non-mechanical weight handling equipment independently or with assistance from other workers.
WORKING CONDITION:Workers perform duties inside and/or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty, or poorly lighted. Personnel are exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls, and injury from falling stock. They may be exposed to dust, dirt, grease, and solvents. When working in hazardous materials areas, they may be subject to exposure from radiation, toxins, explosive hazards, or chemical fumes.
