Summary:
Material Handler is responsible for, but not limited to, receiving, processing, transporting, organizing, and storing shop floor material in a safe and efficient manner. Compliance with all Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), SOP’s, and Safety Procedures.
Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:
- Responsible to ensure each product is prepared, filled, assembled, packed, and documented according to work instructions/SOP's, batch records and cGMP guidelines and/or procedures.
- Coordinates with the Warehouse all material delivery based on schedule and support then if necessary.
- Coordinates the pallets movement to manufacturing lines and the label room material assuring transference into final location based on production schedule including the printing of process orders from Infor system.
- Verifies material availability and lot status in INFOR system prior to manufacturing process assuring accuracy of each pallet materials moved to guarantee timely delivery to the correct line or location and executes the movement completion in INFOR system.
- Prepares product lot documentation, which includes manufacturing forms for expiration dates calculation, batch records, process orders, etc., based on production schedule for product and/or primary components movement to Manufacturing lines, including printing of process orders from INFOR system.
- Confirms the materials received in INFOR system and generates all transactions necessary for the return of unused material to Warehouse, and any other INFOR or systems transactions according to site SOPs as required and performs reconciliation of materials and product to assure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain product flow with in-process components and raw materials to designated work centers.
- Oversees product waste areas and transports accumulated materials to designated areas and performs housekeeping and handling of waste according to procedure.
- Completes and follow good documentation practices required before line start up and during the manufacturing process.
- Assists manufacturing activities in other areas within operations and participates in special projects during audits and regulatory inspection, as required.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned to support department and organizational goals
You’ll need the following (minimum qualifications):
- Minimum of year (1-2) year of experience in Manufacturing/packaging or related field.
- Possesses a genuine desire to work in Manufacturing truly likes working within all aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs., climb step-up ladders, and perform constant motions of scooping, wiping, raising of arms, bending, and kneeling, if needed
- Ability to be exposed to nutraceutical raw materials and powders which may include allergen related items
- Ability to comprehend basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- High School education (HS Diploma or GED) preferred
- Experience in food/pharmaceutical processing operations, FDA regulated industry, or combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to perform the job successfully (preferred)
- Forklift Operation Certification (required)
- Knowledgeable with inventory and logistics software programs
A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $19.00. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
