Definition and Nature of the Work
This position performs limited aspects of technical supply chain management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management of packaging and finished goods, staging, and properly utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, WMS scanners and computers as they relate to supply chain activities. Work is usually separated by packaging and finished good items.
Ideal candidate will report to work prior to the beginning of each shift in order to be briefed from previous shift. This is not a position for the perpetually late. The position requires discipline and organization. Candidates have to pay attention and ask relevant questions when problems arise.
EXPECTATIONS
- Complete company’s forklift certification
- Safely unload/load trailers
- Assure accurate counts and item numbers on all shipments
- Pull finished goods for shipping accurately and notes correct locations from order pull sheet
- Pull material as needed for samples
- Inspects all trailers for holes, pest and seals
- Complete proper documentation for their proper area (Outbound/Inbound, Bin Inventory Sheet, Trailer Inspection, etc.)
- Proficiency with rules of First In/First Out (FIFO) and Last In/First Out (LIFO)
- Wrap pallets for shipping
- Prepares shipment paperwork for all orders (verify the correct bill of lading, pallet labels, work orders, signatures, packing lists, etc)
- Assists Quality Assurance
- Print proper documents for work task
- Supports all shipping and receiving processes for packaging and finished goods department
- Processing, scanning and shelving of packaging/finished goods items, pulling packaging/finished goods items, and logging data entry into computerized inventory control systems
- Operates all lift equipment in a safe manner to ensure personal protection and to ensure the protection of other personnel and company property
- Maintain clean and safe working environments
- Assists with planning layout, maintenance and up keep of item bins and other storage areas and consolidates existing stock to maximize space utilization
- Must assist in inventory management and counts
- No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
- All other directives assigned by supervisors and managers
Minimum requirements
Forklift certified – forklift test administered during interview
High School Diploma/GED
Ability to lift 50 + lbs. – Stand for long periods of time
Shift Hours: 10:45 pm - 7:00 a.m.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, handheld mobile technologies and applications.
Ability to use computer system to transfer materials received and shipped. Physical ability to assist with warehouse operations.
