Job Description:
- Basic understanding of warehouse layout and how to locate material
- Assists in receiving incoming materials, supplies and equipment. Unloads trucks, compares received items to purchase order to verify accuracy and quantity of shipment. Inspects materials for damage and defects and escalates issues to Supervisor. Uncrates and assembles materials if directed and removed and disposes of unneeded packing materials.
- Delivers materials to appropriate departments accurately and obtains proper authorization of delivered materials
- Assists in preparing crates and other items to be shipped
- Makes sure that items are properly tagged and labeled
- May drive forklift to transport stored items from warehouse or to pick up items
- Complies with all HSE regulations and requirements
- Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
- General housekeeping
- Pull orders and requisitions for the shops
- Control paperwork functions, i.e., filing, scanning, etc.
Preferred Experience:
- two (2) years industrial experience
Physical Strain:
- Bending, squatting, climbing, pulling, twisting, reaching, working at elevated heights
- Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to work outside in extreme temperatures or in a shop environment
