Position Summary
Position Summary
Performs routine manual duties in the handling of materials that supports all aspects of the production operation including; transfer of materials, materials distribution; and following established procedures. At Parker, you will cultivate a strong culture by participating in High Performance Teams and operating in a LEAN structure.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing essential routine tasks involving the replenishing and distributing of materials to the manufacturing floor within the Tugger cart. This includes delivering required materials to the Work area(s) on a determined frequency.
- Accurately pulls material according to production schedule. Full understanding of FIFO system.
- Retrieve all finished goods from each individual workstation and move to the finished goods inventory.
- Receives raw materials into Parker's Business and Quality systems.
- Record lot number changes on QC paperwork.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers such as grinders and hoppers.
- Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
- Makes simple adjustments or repairs such as adjusting vacuum controls.
- Clean and fill hoppers at press using JIT and Central Loading.
- Operates industrial truck to assist in loading or moving materials & products.
- When not acting as the material hander, will act as a machine operator.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- At times, overtime will be required.
- Work cross functionally to support company LEAN and High Performance team objectives and initiatives.
- Adheres to all Parker safety and quality standards.
- Use appropriate PPE for designated area.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
- GED or High School Diploma required.
- 0-3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to read and follow written and/or verbal instruction in English.
- Ability to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
