Description
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for resin movement to and from each press
• Verify material presence frequently throughout the shift to assure a sufficient amount of material is in each box to prevent the machine from going down (eliminating short shots).
• Verify all wands are working properly (vacuuming material correctly).
• Verify all wands have no damage (ring on end of wand must be attached).
• Verify all hoses connecting to the wand aren't broke (allowing vacuum loss).
• Verify all boxes are tilted when resin gets low (to prevent the wand from vacuuming the bag or air that could cause short shots due the press not getting resin).
• Verify all resin lids are in good condition and in place at the Press and in storage (to prevent contamination).
• Wipe all resin lids free from debris before taking the resin to the press (to prevent contamination).
• When resin is low, DO NOT remove a box of resin before having another box on the press ready to swap and place the wand in the new box immediately (to prevent the hopper to run out of material causing the possibility for short shots).
  ALWAYS call for a RESTART when bringing a new box of resin to the press so quality can verify the correct resin is present (to eliminate the wrong resin being run at the process).
• Confirm FIFO of each box of resin before bringing a new box to the Press.
• Verify Resin Grade and Color Code of material to the OPC (see posted OPC). Log the Lot information (Material Grade and Box #) on the Production report as soon as the material is changed.
• Assure all material bags in resin Gaylord are covering the material completely when stored (to prevent contamination).
• Assure all totes, jits and racks are free of debris, trash, etc. before being taken to the Press.
• Use of FIFO in handling components, WIP, and finished goods.
• During Mold Change put up any components from the previous run (assure all components are put up in the correct location).
• Bring components to the press for the next run (as needed) prior to press start up.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. (ability to read and minimal mathematics)
• Basic computer skills (preferred) Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to communicate well with others and maintain a positive attitude
• Ability to lift up to 40 LBS Must be able to pass a written and driving forklift test
• Must know how to read receiving labels and know how to verify them Must be able to work multiple shifts and overtime as needed to meet internal and customer requirements
• Attendance must be in good standing
• Must be able to perform operator production jobs efficiently
• Must complete a new employee orientation (if applicable)
