Job description

Job Summary
The Material Expediter will be responsible for providing all required primary and backup inventory control support for the Logistics/Inventory Manager. The Material Expediter shall provide secondary support for the Dockmaster as required for dock operations. As a tertiary level of support, The Material Expediter shall act as the primary backup for the package and parcel delivery operations.
Primary Duties

  • Performs daily consumable cycle count in the location assigned by the Inventory Manager. Verify the physical count against the on-hand quantity in Maximo and adjust accordingly.
  • Performs 10% monthly durables audit in the location assigned by the Inventory Manager and submits the report to the Site Maintenance Manager.
  • Conducts and assist the Inventory Manager in performing and reconciling the annual durables inventory.
  • Provide updates to the Inventory/Logistics Manager for the item master parts list within the CMMS on a continuous basis in order to confirm the item description format is properly established.
  • Performs daily receipts of all incoming materials, and storage it to the designated locations.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Understand and communicate the mission to staff, clients, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform any additional assigned duties.
  • Participate in all other training required by funding source(s) and/or the Corporation.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required; Associate Degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 years' experience in warehouse management and/or warehouse shipping and receiving, required.
  • Minimum one year experience in the inventory control module within the government-provided CMMS, MAXIMO, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient using all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal oversight
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure while working on multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to set priorities for self, team and peers, and adjust when priorities change
  • Ability to read, write and speak English effectively along with basic mathematical skills required.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and team building skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
