The Material Damage Claims Adjuster is responsible for the efficient and effective management of Material Damage claims. This includes assessing, investigating, negotiating, and finalizing claims in accordance with company policies and procedures, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Review estimates against Tesla OEM and Tesla Insurance repair standards and make appropriate scope adjustments
- Collaborate cross functionally with Tesla verticals to ensure Tesla standards are met throughout the life cycle of a claim according to OEM procedures
- Assist with the development, launch, and administration of Tesla's Insurance Repair Network
- Analyze damages by reading documentation, reviewing pictures, and comparing against repair procedures to determine reparability
- Determine the fair market values of vehicles, and settle total loss claims for both customers and claimaints
- Coordinate on-site inspections as necessary
- Complete claims based in accordance to company procedures and guidelines
- Negotiates settlements in a timely manner as assigned
- Ability to handle multiple claims work systems
- Strong working knowledge of the various operations with the Claims Department
- Ability to recognize, document, and flag claims of a questionable manner in accordance to best practices, ISO standards, and company guidelines
- Responding to various written and telephone inquiries
- Maintain a journal and update files in a consistent and repeatable manner in line with company guidelines
What You’ll Bring
- Estimating or auto claims adjusting experience required
- 3-5+ years Body Repair and/or Auto collision experience preferred
- A minimum of 3 years' experience handling automotive or Material Damage claims, including, estimates, total losses, salvage, comprehension, collision and property damage claims
- Estimating software experience required, including CCCOne, Audatex, and Mitchell
- Onsite presence as required by manager
- Knowledge of and adherence rto the state laws and regulations governing the handling of Automotive claims
- Basic understanding of claims, mathematics, auto physical damage, and legal issues
- Ability to recognize, analyze and perceive damage in three dimensions
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active adjuster license
- Adjuster license must be obtained within 90 days of the start date if do not possess one already
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
