Position: Master's Level Therapeutic Clinical Intern

Supervisor: Vice President of Therapeutic Services

Position Description:

Partnership Against Domestic Violence is seeking a Master's level intern for our Therapeutic Program. The Clinical Intern will perform supervised individual and group counseling for adults and children both in-person and via telehealth, facilitate intakes, crisis intervention, consultation/outreach, and attend clinical trainings. The intern will attend supervision, complete clinical assessments, intakes and facilitate appropriate referrals. This position may require other related tasks that are a part of the agency's operation. Clinical Work is supervised by a licensed professional counselor. Intern should be interested in working with vulnerable populations with exposure to trauma. Intern must have professional insurance and maintain a 10 to 12 month commitment.

Salary: $0 -- Since this is an internship, it is an unpaid position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Intern must be enrolled in Practicum or internship courses at an accredited educational institution and seeking licensure in the State of Georgia.
  • Program must offer licensure track for Social Work, Clinical Mental Health, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Intern must have professional insurance and maintain a 10 to 12 month commitment
  • Intern must be willing to provide hybrid-care in both clinical and tele-health settings.
  • Completes the required clinical documentation via our electronic recordkeeping system, Caseworthy as well as in chosen EHR system i.e. Simple Practice. Provide professional documentation of services provided, including statistical information, safety planning and comprehensive case records utilizing CJCC Standards as a primary benchmark in our Caseworthy database.
  • Provide a monthly report on service delivery including number of clients seen and number of hours-of-service provision.
  • Commit to the principles of confidentiality as it relates to client information and diversity and inclusion practices.
  • Adheres to ethical guidelines as required by the Georgia Composite Board and intern's governing board of clinical practice.
  • Follow agency/contract/grant/licensing policies and procedures.
  • Respond to agency needs as established with the Vice President of Therapeutic Services in line with program assignments, abilities, and community needs.
  • Remain current on new developments in the field of Domestic Violence.
