Master Technician

The Master Technician is responsible to diagnose, repair, and service BMW Group Vehicles. As well provide technical support during BMW and MINI new model launches and special events. The selected candidate will mentor other technicians and assign work as needed. They will ensure to maintain a clean, safe, and professional workstation and workshop environment according to BMW standards and participate in Hazardous Waste Room and Tire Room cleaning schedule. This position requires attendance to new Service Training seminars and Service Roundtables and occasional travel to various locations across the country to help increase recall completions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced diagnostics on very difficult to repair vehicles.
• Be certified and skilled in specific areas of vehicles (2 or more):
  • Major Engine repairs
  • Electrical Systems
  • Advanced Diagnostics
  • High Voltage components of HV/Hybrid vehicles
  • Prototypes/pre-pros
  • Motorsport Drivetrains
  • Bus Diagnostics
  • Intermittent Issues
  • Security Vehicles
• General service, diagnose and repair BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars vehicles for internal BMW Group employees/departments utilizing BMW specific repair procedures, specifications, and equipment.
• Generate PuMA and Teile Clearing cases as needed for reporting and resolution documentation.
• Work alongside Product Engineers to explore resolutions to problems and test repair instructions/procedures.
• Receiving and carrying out Repair Orders as dispatched.
• Performing diagnostic services and troubleshooting to determine repair needs.
• Providing labor, time, and parts estimates for repair services.
• Performing Quality Control checks for repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete.
• Completing all required paperwork and documentation for repair services.

The pay range for this role is: $65,070.00 - $76,210.00.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Requirements:

• High School or equivalent
• 100% BMW Technical Training Courses completed
• Electric High Voltage Vehicle Certified
• 5 + years as a BMW Technician
• Valid Driver's License

Preferences:

• MACS certification
• Proficient in all BMW service diagnostic tools/equipment
• Proficient with computers (PC)
• Knowledge on how to use a dealership DMS
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to operate a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission
