The Master Planner prepares end-to-end master supply and material plans including capacity and resource plans for all manufacturing locations. The role ensures the capacity plan can be executed given current equipment and staffing capabilities, meets the commitments made to the commercial team, supports all food safety requirements and maximizes capacity at the lowest total delivered cost. This position monitors key planning metrics to ensure efficiency and conducts risk analyses to proactively ensure delivery of the business plan. The Master Planner participates in demand planning and commercial reviews and collaborates interdepartmentally to understand and predict planning-related risks, drive improvements and regularly report and improve performance metrics. This position prepares input, participates in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and leads network supply planning activities. The Master Planner role requires fast paced consumer goods experience as well as executive level presentation and strategic decision-making experience and expertise.
Estimated starting annual base salary is $123,163.57 - $184,745.35 less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare end-to-end master supply and material plans including capacity and resource plans across all manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure the capacity plan can be executed given current equipment and staffing capabilities, meets the commitments made to the commercial team, supports all food safety requirements, and maximizes capacity at the lowest total delivered cost.
  • Assess demand profiles five years into the future to recommend changes to the production and distribution network including production and warehousing locations for each product and equipment capabilities and capacities.
  • Create and present scenario plans based on changing business needs.
  • Develop and manage key planning metrics to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and net delivered cost.
  • Conduct risk analyses to proactively ensure the business plan is achieved.
  • Identify and implement new technologies to improve planning and reliability.
  • Conduct research and collaborate interdepartmentally to understand and predict planning-related risks, drive improvements and regularly report and improve performance metrics.
  • Collaborate regularly with supply chain, quality assurance, manufacturing, and engineering departments.
  • Participate in demand planning and commercial reviews.
  • Engage in the S&OP process and lead network supply planning activities.
  • Develop network supply build plans including annual budget.
  • Maintain network capacity plans.
  • Prepare overall material and resource plans and collaborate with manufacturing on staffing plans to meet demand.
  • Prepare strategic plan for network supply and growth.
  • Implement new policies as needed.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to provide insight to capacity and resource ability across network for NPI to select appropriate manufacturing site.
  • Provide guidance to engineering change orders of ERP/MRP systems for supply plans of product portfolio changes.
  • Provide guidance to manufacturing schedules to ensure optimized inventory turns and on time delivery of orders.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, economics, or related field.
  • 8 years' professional experience including material requirements planning (MRP), supply chain, demand/supply planning and strategic capacity planning.
  • Experience at a fast-paced consumer packaged goods (CPG) company.
  • Advanced MRP and ERP systems experience (e.g., Oracle, AMAPS, JDA, SAP or JDE).
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong executive level presentation, strategic decision-making, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, proactively anticipate needs and create favorable outcomes.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple tasks and projects with specific deadlines.
  • Data analysis/business analysis skills demonstrated for scenario and supply chain strategic planning.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in business administration, supply chain, economics, or related field.
  • APICS or Six Sigma certification.
  • Prior experience as a Master Planner or equivalent role.
  • cGMP manufacturing environment experience.
  • Nutraceutical, food & beverage or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
