Job Summary:
Hoskinson Ranch and associated companies are in the mountain region of Wheatland, Wyoming. Our organization was created to bring innovation to a traditionally rural environment and provide some elements of agricultural support to the community. To ensure proper development, we are pursuing long-term expansion plans on the existing Ranch grounds.

This position will work at Twin Pine's Bison Ranch in Wheatland, WY. Applicant must have experience in residential and commercial settings and capable of traveling as required.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Develop projects, gets permits for construction and installations.
  • Selecting, installing, and preserving the functionality of wires, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, switchboards, and similar.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine location of framing, installation procedures, staging and scaffolding materials require
  • Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor
  • Use ladders, scaffolding, platform and lifts to work on electrical systems in residential homes, on roadside poles and in commercial properties
  • Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; report any issues to immediate supervisor
  • May install new equipment or building services such as electrical circuits, plumbing, boilers, fire and life safety devices, HVAC controls.
  • Manage, track, and organize inventory of tools and parts
  • May drive company vehicles and operate groundskeeping equipment as required
  • Ensure system meets company standards and are installed per all electrical and local building codes
  • Perform quarterly, semi-annual and annual preventive maintenance on electrical systems
  • Transport various items (e.g. equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of providing materials at job site as required to complete tasks.
  • Prepare estimates of materials, equipment and labor required for assignments.
  • Diagnose, trouble-shoot and repair failed electrical equipment
  • Follow safety procedures required at job sites
  • Work simultaneously with other contractors to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements: Physical labor is to be expected, including but not limited to walking construction sites, working outdoors in various weather conditions, bending, kneeling, sitting, squatting. Must be able to wear common protective safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and high visible vests when working on-site.  Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Knowledge, Experience, & Education Requirements:

  • Must meet all WY licensing requirements for Master Electrician. 
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Able to travel as required
