Location Description:
Post Consumer Brands corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. is about 20 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Lakeville has all the benefits of smaller town living with access to everything a large metropolitan area has to offer. Responsibilities:
Master Data Stewards are the visible, action-oriented engine of data governance efforts. Data stewardship is a business role — it is the primary point of responsibility, accountability and activity for the assessment, improvement and ongoing maintenance of critical data assets. This position is also the business expert responsible to lead and consult on project initiatives dependent on Master Data and data synchronization to our customers. The purpose of this job is to create, edit and manage item data, as a collaborative member of the Master Data Management team, which creates and manages data within JD Edwards including, but not limited to, finished goods, ingredients and packaging.

This role is located at the Lakeville, MN Corporate office
Typical hybrid schedule includes 3 days in-office with remote flexibility up to 2 days a week.

JOB ACTIVITIES/DUTIES
  • Creates edits and manages data for our business partners (internal as well as customers & suppliers) within system Master Data applications.
  • Define and manage data control business processes for specific data domains (Item Master, etc) or elements as required, to achieve system integrity and consistency. Master Data Stewards are not the owners of the data. They are trustees, ensuring that data quality is maintained and governance to data rules are followed, so the data can effectively support business processes
  • Assess the current state of data control processes for specific data domains or elements.
  • Capture key business data rules within business systems and monitor those business rules.
  • Monitor and track ongoing data quality levels on a regular basis. Identify and provide optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues. Support Data Owners with resolution of data quality issues. Publicize success to further engage individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Work within and beyond immediate area to implement data improvement approaches. Actively participate in the design and deployment of applications and data integration.
  • May be required to provide on-call support to resolve production problems related to data set up by using email or IM, SMS messages or other cell phone communication. Is expected to be on-call for a fair and reasonable amount of hours.
  • Work with cross functional business partners in marketing, operations, information technology, procurement, supply chain, sales, finance and quality to develop, manage and implement a priority list of all the key projects.
  • Escalate issues exceeding personal scope to the Master Data Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education: Four-year degree (or the equivalent) in a technical or financial field (e.g., science, finance, accounting, etc.)

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in Master Data processing and ERP systems. Experience in the consumer products/food processing industries is strongly preferred. Understanding of end-to-end business requirements of key data and exposure to data quality & best practices is advantageous to the position.

Skills: Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Proven organizational and priority setting skills. Analytical, process management, data management and taxonomy expertise. Ability to work effectively in team-based environment with multiple functional groups. Excellent communication skills. Ability to achieve results and execute multiple simultaneous projects.

Other: Able to respond remotely to off-hour technical or data support using PCB-issued technology and software.

Work Structure:
Works under the supervision the Master Data Supervisor – Item Master and in collaboration with other Data Stewards. Incumbent develops own work plan with direct supervision to meet project and organization support deadlines.
