MASTER CONTROL OPERATOR - EXPERIENCED - TELEVISION STATION
Job Description:
To create, maintain, receive and correct video, audiio and metadata files that make up the data streams WATC originates and passes through.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Monitor the outgoing signals and notify the Director of Engineering of any problems in the outgoing streams that you cannot correct.
2. Use various tape, DVD, and computer systems to ingest or process on-air program material and create/modify/run playlists according to the official logs for each channel/data stream. This includes checking and adjusting audio and video levels for each item ingested.
3. Monitor the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and follow the published procedures for tests and activations.
4. Process programming received to make it compliant for air.
5. Notify the Director of Engineering immediately when equipment fails. This includes, but is not limited to, satellite/IPTV receivers, recording computers, and on-air automation.
6. One year experience with Master Control broadcast automation is required.
7. Assist the production department when circumstances warrant.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
1. The ability to perform shift work.
2. The ability to lift up to 60lbs and carry it 25 feet.
3. Legal age.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
