Job Description:

As a Medical Massage Therapist at Health Atlast Upper Westside, NY, you will play a key role in our holistic approach to patient care. You will work closely with our healthcare team to provide therapeutic massage services tailored to our patients' unique needs. Your expertise in medical massage techniques will complement our range of healthcare services and contribute to our patients' overall wellness journey.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Thoroughly assess patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and treatment goals to develop personalized massage therapy plans.
• Therapeutic Massage: Perform therapeutic massage techniques, such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and neuromuscular therapy, to address patients' musculoskeletal issues, pain, and tension.
• Collaborative Care: Collaborate with our healthcare team, including physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, and other allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care and integrate massage therapy into comprehensive treatment plans.
• Patient Education: Educate patients about the benefits of massage therapy, self-care techniques, and lifestyle modifications to support their recovery, rehabilitation, and overall well-being.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care, address patient concerns, and promote positive therapeutic outcomes.
• Professional Development: Stay current with advances in massage therapy techniques, research, and best practices through continuing education, professional workshops, and participation in professional organizations.

Requirements:

• Certified or licensed as a Massage Therapist in New York.
• Proficiency in therapeutic massage techniques and modalities relevant to medical massage therapy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients.
• Empathetic, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care delivery.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, boundaries, and confidentiality.
