Job Overview:

Working in conjunction with the Fitness & Spa Director, The Massage Therapistis directly responsible to ensure the overall smooth delivery of Massage therapy. This position is also responsible for processing all calls and requests for assistance in a professional, enthusiastic, courteous, and timely manner to meet required standards.

Compensation: $15.50-50.00/hr

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future

Your Responsibilities:

Responsible for working with the Fitness & Spa Director and other association staff members in maintaining the resort standard as set forth for Trilogy La Quinta. Provides guests/clients with a "complete" and excellent massage and Esthetic experience, leaving the resident relaxed and revitalized. Provides complete treatments. Spa music will always be used in treatment rooms. Assists other staff members in the understanding of Nail services, Massage therapy, Esthetician Services and Body Treatments. Responsible for the setup of therapy rooms. Responsible for cleanliness of therapy rooms. Encourages and promotes use of all spa facilities to Guests/clients. Understands the importance of punctuality for appointments. Be conversant with association rules and regulations and safety practices to assist with compliance. Attend and assist in the conduction of all staff meetings.

Other pertinent duties as assigned

  • Provide a high level of customer service and quality work performance.
  • Answer phones.
  • Be prepared and on time with all clients.
  • Communicate with manager and front desk with timing.
  • Make appointments. Confirm appointments with clients and therapists.
  • Inventory counts for retail and professional product.
  • Prepare professional supplies order.
  • Clean and re-stock rooms with professional supplies.
  • Keep all areas clean and Tidy.
  • Prepare monthly reports (CSI, Spa Services, etc.) at close out.
  • Maintain inventory stock rooms with products and necessary materials.
  • Make copies and perform other administrative duties as needed.
  • Wash and Dry Fold robes if needed / sanitize slippers.
  • Complete monthly specials calculations.
  • Keep display area clean.
  • Keep lockers clean / re-fill.
  • Ensure snacks and fruit are available and presented well, inventory levels are correct.
  • Follow established opening and closing procedures. Drop bank at end of day.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Massage therapist- Minimum of high school graduate degree.
  • Must have current certifications and be accredited and licensed minimum (Certified Massage Practitioner or Massage Therapist. (250 hours minimum).
  • Additional education in the various areas of massage therapy. 2 years of experience.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by the Nail Tech, Massage Therapist, and or Esthetician to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Massage Therapist/Esthetician is regularly required to talk and hear. The Massage Therapist/Esthetician is frequently required to walk and sit, and occasionally is required to stand. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, vendors and our clients
  • Ability to walk extensive slope and/or flat association areas and visually review landscape, building areas, recreation facilities, parks etc. to ensure proper maintenance.
  • Ability to work late into evenings.

This is a Part-time to Full-time position with hours may change week to week. May be required to work overtime as needed and approved by supervisor, including occasional evening and occasional meetings. Consistent and regular attendance required. Hours over and above normal office hours will occur, including evenings, holidays, and some weekends. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
