Job Description:
The MSE Initiative Coach is a critical member of the Supply Excellence team accountable for the regional implementation and success of the MSE Pillars in delivering results at the site level. As the regional initiative leader, they are responsible for direction setting and transformative change at all levels of the organization by:
- Partnering with the Regional MSE team to develop and support the overall implementation strategy for MSE.
- Partnering with their specific pillar of responsibility’s Global Pillar Leader to create a 5-year vision and long term strategy for specific pillar progression within the Sites which includes:
- Developing or supporting the development of training materials needed to create this vision.
- Implementing a coaching and assessing process to ensure successful implementation of this strategy.
- Building capability of their specific pillar leaders across the network enabling them to build site capability.
- Leading regional focus on specific improvement initiatives like MSE Accelerate, coaching for NQC reductions, and support for VLiC identificiation.
Key Responsibilities
Be an active and contributing member of the MSE Team guiding and supporting the overall regional/global strategy. Leading transformative change within the factories focused on MSE maturity and loss elimination. Building MSE capabilities at all levels of the organization through their specific pillar’s Essential Elements.
Context and Scope
This job gets done by coaching and building capability within the site leaders. Work also gets done though successfully partnering with the MSE team to develop and support the overall implementation of MSE strategy.
Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or comparable, relevant work experience; Minimum 8 years manufacturing experience (CPG preferred); Minimum 5 years TPM or lean manufacturing experience; Preferred experience across multiple MSE pillars (preferably FI, AM, PM)
Knowledge / Experience
- Proven experience as a coach/trainer/mentor.
- Ability to manage stakeholders and influence without authority.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to set priorities.
- Process and detail oriented with a “hands-on” approach.
- Must be proactive, high energy, detailed-oriented when appropriate, results-oriented, and willing to initiate and nurture change.
