POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Timbers Corporate Marketing team to help oversee all aspects of marketing including social, digital, print advertising, website, email marketing as well as agency management and collateral production for South Seas. The primary responsibility of the Marketing Professional position is to promote on-brand messaging to customers through the above-mentioned channels to increase consumer awareness, revenue, and market share throughout all areas of the resort.
RATE OF PAY
$75,000 - $85,000 based on experience.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Traffic and workflow management
- Strong Working Skill Set and knowledge with InDesign or Photoshop and champion use of new technology and tools to enhance current marketing efforts
- Strong Working Knowledge of Word Press/oversight of website management
- Maintain & Update property profile, offers and information on websites and partner portals.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills with great attention to detail
- Excellent social media skills – creation of content calendars, relevant social media post across all social media platforms and engage in proactive online reputation management
- Works well in a collaborative environment both internally and with resort partners
- Creative and detail oriented with strong analytical ability
- Ability to juggle a variety of projects at the same time and handle the stress associated with multiple deadlines
- Good sense of design and ability to conceptualize requested projects
- Strong communicator, both written and orally
- Ability to work with the resort team members & corporate marketing team to accomplish goals on a timely basis
- Ability to analyze marketing opportunities and ad effectiveness
- Brand Champion and guardian - prior experience in creating and maintaining brand identity
- Manages budgets and analyzing overall effectiveness of marketing efforts
- Works in tandem with DOSM to help manage agency design team and partnering with the resorts digital, web, e-commerce, PR, and Social Marketing teams
- Helps create and execute annual media plans and budget
- Helps develop and oversee marketing campaigns
- Communicates all marketing programs to the field and corporate staff and acts as a resource in assessing marketing opportunities. Provides guidance and direction as needed to resort support team’s staff.
- Reviews and tracks status of marketing campaigns and provides updates and ongoing analysis to parties involved.
- Help lead and implement marketing and brand strategies to support the resorts new and existing products and services
SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE
- Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Mac/iOS, WordPress, Photoshop/InDesign
- Various communication platform’s (Navis, Agilisys, SynXis)
- Strong understanding of working within content management systems
- Experience with HTML/MJML formats
- Understanding of Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and others
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, communications, or public relations in a leadership role, or demonstrating progressive advancement within the marketing communications field
- Extended experience within the hotel/travel industry and/or lifestyle sector preferred
- Strong marketing and communications planning background, ideally gained within an agency or in-house marketing environment with experience in developing and delivering integrated strategies and campaigns. Significant experience in advising colleagues on communications planning and prioritization
- A track record of successfully designing and delivering major, multi-channel, response driven communications and marketing campaigns.
- Experience of managing suppliers, partnerships, marketing budgets and long-term strategic planning
