POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager position for Ayoba will be considered an independent contractor. That will be hired for 3 months with the possibility of an extension. The Marketing Manager is desired to increase consumer recognition and gain more traction to our social media platforms. The individual in this position will also need to develop a marketing strategy.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, and management of a range of online communication strategies as well as market research and measuring the effectiveness of those campaigns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
External Communications – Create informative and interesting posts for social media to promote brand and culture. Actively search for media opportunities and community events that align with Ayoba’s goals, and vision. Assist in the creation of standard notifications and automated communications. Works with the owner to create engaging and effective copy for marketing materials.
Internal Communications – Effectively communicate Marketing objectives and materials to owner via Zoom or in-person meeting. Be able to effectively communicate.
Storyteller – Be able to tell the story of Ayoba through social media posts. Put together marketing materials for community events.
Market Research – Oversee, develop and conduct market research. Overseeing data analysis and evaluation
Social Media Strategy – Work with the owner of a brand to develop and oversee social media voice, strategy and campaigns for various platforms based on organizational goals.
Develop and Implement Communications Strategies that build customer loyalty, and create brand awareness.
Reporting - Communicates campaign results, both written and verbal, to Marketing team and internal stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Channel Management – Align content across key digital channels, schedule and analyze results.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- 5+ years experience with proven success
- Solid knowledge of social media platforms, requirements, and analytics.
- Results oriented and solution focused with a problem-solving attitude.
- Self-managing organizational and project management skills with the ability to deliver projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of marketing principles, practices and channels.
- Solid understanding of advertising, marketing and brand voice. Ability to maintain communication and style guidelines to ensure consistency of brand and content strategy.
- Demonstrate an outstanding eye for detail, and exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to develop required forms, requested correspondence and reports to support marketing and other department’s communications objectives. Ability to follow protocol in backing-up and saving file types.
- Must be self-motivated with an enthusiastic and outgoing manner demonstrating support for others and contributing to team efforts in a meaningful way.
DESIRED:
- Previous work or portfolio of businesses and brands you have worked with.
- Strong sense of network and able to tap into consumers of niche.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
