Role Summary
About the Role: The Marketing Intern will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Marketing Department with a variety of event planning and marketing initiatives. We are looking for the internship to begin in January, 2024 and continue through May, 2024. Internship will be in person at our Troy, MI office. This is a full time position, 40 hours per work week.
Key Responsibilities
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordination, and management of internal and external corporate events in North America.
- Work with external vendors and show organizers as required to fulfil event-related planning and execution activities.
- Actively manage day-to-day tasks such as clothing and ticket distribution, catering, reception support, etc.
- Attend North America events as required to support the organizing team.
- Support the pre and post-communication of events to internal audiences including and up to the executive level.
- Support the research of global events which Magna should attend and their respective audiences.
- Handle other duties assigned.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Who we are looking for:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enrolled as a full-time student or recently completed college/university level degree in Marketing, Communications, HR or similar subjects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent professional communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to travel as needed
