The Marketing Director will function in both a strategic and tactical capacity to develop, shape, drive, and execute marketing efforts focused on demand generation, sales enablement, and brand awareness for the Parks & Recreation division of Clubessential Holdings.
The division is currently comprised of three brands (Vermont Systems, ePACT and CampBrain) run under the company Vermont Systems. Vermont Systems and ePACT have the same main target demographic of municipalities (with ancillary markets such as colleges & universities), while CampBrain targets camp programs.
Success in this role will be measured by top-of-funnel and opportunity conversion metrics, with the goal of contributing to high-growth revenue targets and increasing market share for the Parks & Recreation division. He/she will be working in a fast-paced environment implementing strategies and performing a variety of tasks that establish brand value and achieve these goals.
He/she will be supported by a shared services team for events and user conferences, creative services, events management, operations, and digital marketing and will manage a marketing specialist that directly supports the vertical.
This role will report to the CMO and work closely with the Parks and Recreation division leadership team, sales, and product stakeholders.
This is a 100% remote position, based in the U.S.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Developing effective GTM and demand generation strategies for the Parks and Recreation Division of Clubessential Holdings that directly support business and revenue goals
- Creating and executing omni-channel marketing plans that include activities such as email blasts, lead nurture campaigns, advertising, digital marketing, social media, webinars, collateral, website updates/blog posts, and other efforts to drive awareness, grow pipeline, and move customers and prospects through the funnel
- Crafting messaging and content that positions our brands with differentiated value in target market segments; establishing brands as thought leaders in their respective market categories
- Conducting customer interviews and developing customer success stories for feature in marketing efforts
- Partnering with sales leadership to drive effective and timely marketing campaigns to fill the funnel with new, targeted, qualified sales opportunities
- Ensuring a solid digital online presence using strategies that drive people to our websites and leverage competitive positioning
- Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on marketing metrics; you will own the overall top-of-funnel number, demand generation, and conversion metrics for creating qualified sales opportunities
- Conducting market research and competitive analysis
- Collaborating with events manager, automations manager, creative team, and other marketing team shared services on task execution
- Assisting with the development of presentations and sales tools in the vertical
- Managing to the marketing budget
- Working with third parties on outsourced marketing needs as needed
- Any other duties applicable to supporting the achievement of budgeted annual revenue objectives for the Parks & Recreation division, or as required by the business
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- 5+ years B2B marketing experience in technology/software space, SaaS preferred, with expertise in demand generation and growth marketing
- Demonstrated ability to develop impactful, fact-based, value propositions, as well as craft them into differentiated messaging and content for a variety of media
- Understanding of marketing and sales funnel metrics
- Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - able to professionally, efficiently, and clearly present information to internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Strong independent contributor and collaborative team player with a willingness to do “whatever it takes”
- Proven cross-team collaboration; must instill credibility and gain stakeholder trust
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and project management skills
- Comfort with shifting priorities based on business needs
