We have an exciting opportunity open for a Marketing Coordinator with the opportunity to work remote from AR.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As Summit’s Marketing Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our marketing initiatives by efficiently managing various responsibilities. Collaborating closely with the rest of the team, you will be instrumental in budget management and ensuring that marketing campaigns and department allocations align with our financial plans.

Your duties will include invoice processing, where you will manage invoices related to marketing expenses to ensure timely payments to vendors and contractors, as well as maintain precise records of invoicing and budgeting for real-time tracking and reporting. Another key aspect of your role will involve social media management, including scheduling posts, engaging with our audience, and monitoring social media channels daily. Acting as a bridge between marketing and other departments, you will facilitate communication and ensure that marketing initiatives align with our broader organizational goals. Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator will address ad hoc requests from other departments for marketing support, collaboration, or information sharing. The role will serve as the team traffic coordinator, ensuring that marketing projects move through various stages efficiently and meet deadlines. Overseeing the placement of print advertisements in newspapers and assisting with the planning and execution of marketing events, trade shows, and exhibitions will also be key components of your role. Project management skills are a must-have as the role will keep track of marketing projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and addressing any potential roadblocks. Coordinating marketing team meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting minutes will contribute to the smooth functioning of our marketing team. The role requires a commitment to staying updated on marketing trends, industry developments, and best practices will play a crucial role in contributing to the growth and efficiency of our team.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Social Media Day-to-Day: Assisting with scheduling posts, engaging with the audience, and monitoring social media. Respond to inquiries and comments in a timely manner across digital platforms: Next Door, Bing, Yelp, Google. Tracks progress and analyzes social performance of channels. Aids in growth and engagement for social media communications: followers, content sharing, increase response time to messages and comments, etc. Monitors posts and content to report on an as-needed weekly and monthly basis, campaign success, and noteworthy metrics and findings. Works with team to make recommendations for future posts and campaigns to increase performance.
  • Budget Management: Collaborating with the marketing manager to develop and maintain marketing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring campaigns & department allocations stay within budgeted spends.
  • Invoice Processing: Managing and processing invoices related to marketing expenses and working with the finance team to ensure timely payments to vendors and contractors.
  • Promotional Items: Coordinating the procurement of promotional materials and merchandise, working with vendors to order items, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Interdepartmental Liaison: Serving as the bridge between marketing and other departments, facilitating communication, and ensuring that marketing initiatives align with broader organizational goals.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Addressing ad hoc requests from other departments for marketing support, collaboration, or information sharing. For example, annual safety surveys, regulatory one-offs, sponsorship needs, logo facilitation
  • Daily weather and news update resource outlet for the team
  • Print Advertising: Overseeing the process of placing print advertisements in newspapers when needed. Assist with ad placement for regulatory and safety notices.
  • Traffic Coordination: Acting as the team traffic coordinator, ensuring that projects move through the various stages of development and production efficiently, and meeting deadlines.
  • Event Support: Assisting with the planning and execution of marketing events, trade shows, and exhibitions, including logistics, coordination, and promotion.
  • Project Management: Keeping track of marketing projects, ensuring they stay on schedule, and resolving any potential roadblocks.
  • Marketing Meetings and Agenda: Coordinating marketing team meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting minutes.
  • Stay Updated: Keeping abreast of marketing trends, industry developments, and best practices to contribute to the team's growth and efficiency.
  • Support additional Marketing, Communications, Corporate Affairs, and Sustainability projects as needed.


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

·Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, photo/video editing and design, or other related fields.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in marketing, public relations, journalism, or communications industry field preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficiency and knowledge in social media platforms
  • Content research and proofreading skills
  • Driven individual with a passion for excellence
  • Polished interpersonal/communication skills including excellent verbal skills
  • Preferred- experience with digital media or design platforms for creative design
  • Preferred- knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
  • Knowledge of social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Exhibits high level of attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals to achieve goals.
  • Known for ability to work well with others as the position requires a great deal of collaboration across departments and with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Ability to handle many tasks and duties at the same time.
