The Crux Firm (Crux) is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team. Crux aims to support the VHA Office of Nursing Services (ONS) in its vision to honor the Veterans through excellence in health care delivery. This program seeks to achieve comprehensive improvements in nursing practice, workforce development, and healthcare delivery within the VA, ultimately benefiting the nation's veterans and contributing to national preparedness efforts. We aim to support ONS in achieving the key objectives of: Optimizing nursing practice, enhancing nursing workforce, supporting national preparedness and improving healthcare delivery.

The PM will oversee project management and administrative support services to assist the VHA Office of Nursing Services in operationalizing projects and implementing the Nursing Workforce Strategic Plan. This role reports to the main Program Manager and will be engaged in all project aspects, from planning and executing to monitoring and closing out the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight of contracted efforts, ensuring alignment with VHA's missions and strategic goals.
• Communicate with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) regarding project outcomes and with the Office of Nursing PMO Program Manager on day-to-day operations.
• Attend and contribute to meetings as an active member, synthesizing subject matter expert conversations into working drafts.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans using project management software and tools.
• Apply Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices, Human Factors Engineering (HFE), and Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles to all project tasks.
• Demonstrate knowledge in PROSCI ADKAR methodology for change management and ensure implementation across all nursing workforce improvement efforts.
• Engage in knowledge management and transfer activities to VHA personnel and partners.
• Coordinate and manage events, including virtual meetings and face-to-face gatherings, in support of ONS PMO, projects, and workstreams.
• Support workstreams in product development, quality control, and administrative management.

Posi4on Requirements:

• 7+ years of proven experience leading projects involving a diverse team composed of writers, communications professionals and project/task order managers
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a relevant field
• Previous experience in direct management roles, managing teams and projects
• Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic and tactical components of a large-scale communication program, and in integrating multiple communication vehicles/channels/products into a comprehensive and consistent strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to provide quick turnaround customer requests and perform in high intensity, quick reaction environments
• Demonstrated experience working with SharePoint, Podio, and other contemporary PM software
• Open to potential work-related travel
• Experience with strategic process planning anywhere from 6-12 months in advance Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting the Federal Government (Department of Veteran Affairs or working in the veteran ecosystem preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare setting, preferably in the nursing field
• Military background preferred (not require)
