The Senior Market Research Professional works with marketing partners and the lines of business to define a learning agenda and key strategic insight needs. This role will focus on supporting our Medicare Advantage line of business. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the internal business teams understand and hear the voice of the customer.
Their key actions and responsibilities in each research project are:
Determining the key business questions to be answered
Selecting the right research audience
Working with external vendor(s) to identify the best research methodology
Selecting an appropriate vendor from our approved set of research partners
Securing research sample internally (if not using a panel)
Sourcing internal data as well as secondary data for counts, weighting, incidence
Gaining approvals and alignment on research instruments from both internal stakeholders and Legal and Regulatory compliance
Project managing the vendor through the research
Vendor conducts data analysis and provides the initial report. Senior Market Research Professional works in conjunction with the vendor to deliver a final report focused on true insights and direction to the business.
Presenting insights to all stakeholders
The Senior Market Research Professional may also assist other researchers on the team in larger, more complex projects and assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Market Research, Data Analytics, Communications or Business
5 or more years of Marketing research experience and direct project management experience in Healthcare
Understanding and experience with a variety of research methodologies
Project Management experience
Experience using both primary and secondary sources of data to feed research design and results
Ability to take data and turn it into a compelling story through insight, data visualization, etc.
Strong presentation skills and experience communicating complex and functional strategies to senior management.
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with diverse research groups such as Multicultural, Low Income, and Disabled
Master's degree or other graduate degree
Experience in the health insurance industry
