THE ROLE
Avocado is currently looking for a Market Representative to be our brand ambassador in the Bay Area Region. You will ensure all Strategic Partner's Retail Associates have a thorough knowledge of Avocado's products and can effectively demonstrate product features to consumers.
This role works cross functionally with many internal and external departments to drive retailer revenue growth. Their responsibilities vary, such as conducting market research, training, building relationships with key partners, and identifying any improvements in order to reach target audiences.
*Note on Location: This is a very dynamic role and it requires local travel to different retail spaces within the NorthernCalifornia - Bay Area.
*Note on Pay Transparency: As of January 1, 2023, California-based roles must provide a pay scale on job postings. The pay range for this role is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 Yearly DOE.
WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

• Travel to Strategic Partner stores and conduct store visits to train on Avocado products and build relationships with Retail Sales Associates and store leaders.
• The role is expected to work a minimum of 2 weekend days a month, as well as holiday weekends in the retail stores.
• Develop effective partnerships with RSAs and store leadership to grow sales and revenue.
• Prepare and conduct effective, conceptual brand/product training and presentations.
  
  • Retail Sales Meetings, In-Store, and even at our factory for tours!
• Tracks floor plans/in-store visual merchandising to maximize sales.
• Responsible for in-store merchandising.
• Communicates product promotions, upcoming events, supports new product introduction.
• Ensure the whole team is well-versed in all products and processes.
• Train the team on all new products released.
• The expectation is that there is also training at our Avocado flagship stores, as well as office days in our Avocado retail stores.
• Provide the best customer service in the world!

WHAT YOU BRING

• Minimum of 2 years of retail experience or retail training with focus on bedding, furniture or consumer goods.
• Prior experience developing or facilitating training content is highly preferred.
• Passionate about our brand's values of healthy living, environmental awareness, and social responsibility; previous experience working for a brand with similar values is a plus!
• Extensive product and brand knowledge to pair with exceptional people skills.
• Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining outstanding customer relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Previous experience running branded events is a plus.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings to meet the needs of the business.
• Ability to travel daily (90%+) within the market, with some overnight travel and occasional travel to HQ (Fullerton, CA).
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Move: This role involves moving throughout the different locations to meet with different team members.
• Operate: Constantly operates a computer and other office machines such as printers and tablets.
• Communicate: This role frequently communicates with other team members to update on the status of a task or to provide training
