Marine Scheduler

BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose is to manage the Musket Corporate trading Portfolio and its associated resources to optimize and execute marine related operations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Nominate, schedule, and execute marine shipments of Refined Products and Renewable Fuels
• Communicate effectively with upper management to back office through the complete life cycle of a trade (including imports/exports of commodities).
• Oversee product quantity and quality control for all marine shipments and vetting of all shipment documents ensuring accuracy and completion
• Maintain constant communications about scheduling plans with traders, Mid-Office, Back-Office, and third-party personnel. Reconcile any discrepancies with accounting and SRA. Notify traders of potential scheduling conflicts and suggest ways to mitigate.
• Network and build relationships with ship owners, ship brokers, ship charterers, terminals, and inspection companies
• Collaborate with contracts group to review marine contract General Terms and Conditions
• Other duties assigned as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply management, finance, or relevant field experience required

Experience:

• 2 to 5 years preferred experience scheduling and executing marine operations

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Skills:

• Intimate working knowledge around scheduling through various means of transportation
• Experienced with different Refined Product / Renewable grades and specifications
• Detail knowledge around common Charter Party formats and common marine GT&Cs
• Working knowledge of Incoterms 2010 / 2020
• Calculating/Estimating freight and other marine related costs
• Solarc Right Angle knowledge is preferred
• Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self-motivated, good time management skills, and innovative thinking

Typical Physical Demands:

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision
