Form of workTradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipe Welders for projects located in and around San Diego, CA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $31/hour based on experience plus $150/Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site If you are a Marine Pipe Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
- Weld a Variety of Metal Surfaces or Pipe Using Various Types of Welding Equipment
- Flat, Vertical, Overhead and Horizontal Arc, SMAW, and Fluxcore, TIG Welding and Air Arc Welding
- Weld Shell Plating, Fabricated Cast or Forged Components According to Specifications for Vessels, Tanks or Other Structural Assemblies
- Other Tasks as Assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 Years of Recent Shipyard Experience; 3+ Experience in Welding
- Knowledge of Welding Procedures and Various Types of Welding Equipment
- Proficient in Flat, Vertical, Overhead and Horizontal Arc, SMAW, and Fluxcore, TIG Welding and Air Arc Skills
- Available for all Shifts
- OSHA 10 Maritime, Firewatch Certification and Respirator Fit Text Completed
- Able to Pass a Drug Screen & Background Check
- US or Naturalized Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Copper Nickel Experience
- Must Pass NASSCOS Plate Test in all Positions and Pipe Test on 6g Restricted Fix Position Using FCAW and GTAW Processes
- Certified to Operate High Reaching Equipment
- Ability to Work at Heights and in Confined Spaces
