We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Marine Chemist to join our team. The Marine Chemist will be responsible for analyzing and monitoring the chemical composition of marine environments, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and supporting various marine-related projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in chemistry, environmental science, and marine systems.
Responsibilities:
- Chemical Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive chemical analyses of water, sediment, and air samples from marine environments.
- Identify and quantify pollutants, trace elements, and other chemical constituents using advanced analytical techniques.
- Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations related to MARINE CHEMISTry.
- Provide expertise and recommendations to ensure sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
- Monitoring and Sampling:
- Design and implement sampling programs to monitor marine ecosystems.
- Collect samples from various marine sources and analyze data to assess the health of marine environments.
- Data Interpretation and Reporting:
- Interpret analytical results and prepare detailed reports on findings.
- Communicate results to project stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
- Instrumentation Maintenance:
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments used for chemical analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including marine biologists, oceanographers, and environmental engineers, to address complex marine science challenges.
