Purpose

Oversee the GIS personnel and the company’s GIS database, including updating the database with all of the daily work done by C&M street crews, from new and replaced installations, repaired and cut-off work. Oversee and enhance existing processes, create reports, identify and close gaps in processes, and perform data clean up and validation.  

Accountabilities

Leadership:

  • Technician project team lead for a small team.
  • Makes independent decisions when completing technical assignments and projects.
  • Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.                
  • Schedule and plan work for a team and provide input in performance evaluation and people development.

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Managing programs / processes, working independently with limited oversight from manager.
  • Performs detailed budget analysis for projects and financial impact on project costs.  

  

 Arc GIS Pro and Utility Network

  • Oversees that all of the daily GIS database entries are made timely in order for a facility locaters to have the most up-to-date information when working in the field, as it relates to dig safe mark outs and distribution system mark outs, required for the C&M street crews and outside contractors.                                                                        
  • Have the knowledge of developing and implementing analysis tools (i.e. reports and software keys “short cut keys”) that could be used by various department as an aide in their required reporting requirements, including the Company’s DIMP Plan.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering and/or Geography
  • 5 to 10 years of experience
