Responsible for the maintenance of the Geographical Information System (GIS) data as it relates to Liberty Utilities – Arizona and Texas Water and Wastewater Companies
Create, edit, analyzes, and maintains GIS data. Includes data collection, input, and linkages to various databases/images including SAP work management systems.
Update and maintain various GIS data, including the street centerline, parcel, subdivision, and utility data. Input data from contractor data, surveyor data, engineering plans, and subdivision plats
Directly work with the Liberty Enterprise GIS core team to ensure the system’s GIS needs are met within the Enterprise GIS while utilizing the ArcGIS Enterprise suite of tools. This includes working with office, web, and mobile GIS applications.
Sound working knowledge of data creation, processing, editing and map production, using a combination of ESRI’s products and extensions such as ArcGIS Pro, Utility Network Manager and ArcGIS Enterprise tools and applications
Provide maps and figures to other departments as needed
Work with field crews to establish and maintain mobile GIS applications
Conducts mapping research in the field and in the office. Resolves conflicting information, and ensures the accuracy of the data
Performs Global Positioning System (GPS) field data collection, post processing, and data storage
Carries on a wide variety of drafting assignments involving such activities as reading field notes and technical data, designing, and developing drawings and maps.
Manage data received from Field Operation’s contractor of proposed and as-built drawing files for use in GIS applications
Assist in the creation and maintenance of an electronic and a historical record file system
Perform maintenance and management of all facility drawings for GIS hyperlinking
Maintain familiarity and support of work order life cycle and process flow using SAP workflows.
Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
Bachelor Degree with major course work in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Engineering, Surveying, or other related subjects.
1-3 years of Utility (water-wastewater) industry experience is preferred
Strong Experience in Esri’s ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and mobile applications.
Proficient utilization with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) required
Strong skills in the use of computer and peripheral equipment required
Energetic and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
Responsible for maintaining plotters, wide format printers, and scanners required
Ability to analyze field notes and technical data; design and develop drawings and maps; completing various engineering drawings of equipment, systems, and installations required
Well-developed verbal, written, communication and presentation skills required
