Mapping Specialist

Description:

Diggers Hotline is looking for a self-motivated, task-oriented, problem-solver that will be responsible for helping member companies keep their service areas updated and help our users by keeping our roads, parcels and municipal boundaries up to date. As a Mapping Specialist, you will use our in-house GIS processing tools and your detail-driven work ethic to respond to questions and help achieve the most accurate mapping environment possible in an ever-changing environment.

Requirements:

• Applicants with two years of college or technical school background are preferred; or two years’ work experience with GIS mapping solutions or some reasonable combination thereof
• Above average computer skills are necessary
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as policy/procedure manuals, application instructions and maps
• Must be able to communicate effectively to express ideas articulately with confidence and tact
