Location: Bartlesville, OK

Position type: 6 months contract (possibility of going direct)

Pay: $20-$25 (depending on experience)

Entry-level Manufacturing Technician position is available Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Job Duties:

• Operate plastics processing equipment. This includes lab scale compounding mixers, single and twin-screw extruders, loss in weight material feeders, pelletizing equipment, and laboratory material testing instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Communicate and cooperate closely in a team environment with other research personnel.
• Candidate may be required to use a full face SCB or cartridge respirator while handling additives and chemicals used in the plastics compounding process.
• Must be able to safely operate plastics processing equipment, power and hand tools and flatbed trucks while handling/moving heavy loads while avoiding unnecessary risks.
• Responsible for documenting observations and data in laboratory notebooks and perform mathematical calculations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required as well as solid interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to safely lift to 55 pounds of plastic materials.
• Valid driver's license
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must have experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Candidate must also exhibit a willingness and desire to expand these skills further in this job.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree
• Knowledge of trouble shooting and maintaining laboratory equipment and computer hardware will be a plus.
• Previous experience with plastics processing equipment in a manufacturing, fabrication or testing environment is a plus.
• Experience in a Laboratory/Research setting
