Description:
Join our team as a Manufacturing Systems Technician, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the electrical and mechanical aspects of production equipment. As a key member of the Engineering Department, you will contribute to various engineering projects, ensuring the seamless operation of manufacturing and packaging equipment in a regulated industry.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively assess technical, mechanical, and electrical challenges on production equipment.
- Utilize electrical, control (PLC, VFD, Servo), mechanical, and process troubleshooting skills to support multi-shift manufacturing operations.
- Provide on-call support for production equipment and collaborate with department personnel.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and change control requirements in the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and supervisors regarding challenges and status updates.
- Prepare documentation, including repair and replacement procedures, troubleshooting guides, etc., in a regulated environment.
- Utilize knowledge of control and electrical components, as well as mechanical equipment (including pneumatics) for part replacement and new installations.
- Maintain electronic and mechanical aspects of operating process equipment, including upgrades.
- Familiarity with spare parts systems for production electronic and process equipment.
- Support and verify all operating aspects of new equipment during installation.
- Work collaboratively as a team member to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements:
- Education: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Experience: Four (4) years or more in a similar capacity in an industrial environment, or a minimum of eight (8) years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing SOPs, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Competence in scientific and personal computer hardware and software applications.
- Strong grasp of Business English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Familiarity with basic mathematical and statistical computation methods and practices.
- Understanding of control system documentation, including safety rules, wiring diagrams, PLC programs, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Effective communication skills, enabling clear interaction with production personnel and management regarding support issues.
