Job Description
General Overview
The Manufacturing supervisor coordinates activities within the Manufacturing department involving safety, quality, labor, and equipment. They are responsibility for day-to-day performance in driving manufacturing efficiencies and meeting customer expectations.
Management Responsibilities
- Leads, coaches, trains and mentor direct reports to support staff development and cross-training.
- Participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of manufacturing employees.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Participates in handling discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Essential JobFunctions(Including but not limited to):
- Reviews work orders to support the creation and execution of the machining schedule that meet both internal and external needs.
- Supports the building and execution of the overall manufacturing schedule.
- Develops, recommends, and implements tasks and activities to improve machining methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Plans and directs work of machining employees to meet the daily schedule.
- Ensures employee and machining related records are timely and accurate.
- Operates CNC machining equipment as needed to support schedule.
- Solves machining issues with a balance between short term fixes and long-term process improvements.
- Supports area communication that is timely and aligned with individual and departmental performance metrics.
- Supports equipment purchases and oversees equipment maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to quickly traverse manufacturing areas.
- Must be able to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay, and squat to maintain equipment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour work week. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 5:00 and may involve adjusting time as required.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Travel:
- No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- AAS degree in the machine trades preferred.
- Minimum of five years of relevant machining experience preferred.
- At least three years of supervisorial or managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and technical abilities/experience
- Demonstrated success using technical math skills such as Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry in practical applications.

- Successful completion and passing of background checks and drug & alcohol testing programs.
