Job Overview: The Manufacturing Software Project Manager (also known as Program Manager or Application Implementation Manager) will be responsible for leading projects aimed at implementing multiple applications in support of new plant startups. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing schedules, resolving issues, coordinating documentation, ensuring effective communication, and providing executive reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee projects focused on implementing various applications to support new plant startups.
- Manage project schedules, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during project execution.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Understanding the PLC's.
- Understanding manufacturing data analytics.
- Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders and provide regular executive updates.
- Report directly to customer leadership and be accountable for the successful project delivery.
- Lead a team of 4 to 5 other Project Managers, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field IT, Business, Manufacturing, Engineering.
- Proven 5 years of minimum experience in leading manufacturing application development projects, ideally with a focus on manufacturing/logistics/quality application(s) implementation for new plant startups.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams of development/implementation effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with AWS and ServiceNow is a plus.
- Exceptional ability to prioritize multiple urgent tasks and effectively manage time and resources.
- Experience with manufacturing data analytics.
- Strong meeting facilitation skills to drive productive discussions and decision-making.
- Aptitude for refining complex issues into clear and concise documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Bilingual Japanese is highly preferred however not a mandatory.
Project Scope: The Manufacturing Software Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating projects involving approximately 50 different applications, with around 80 key stakeholders and 1000 end-users. The projects will encompass various areas, including infrastructure, power, networking, application development, training, testing, and deployment.
Collaboration: The successful candidate will work closely with IT teams, regional business teams, and plant floor teams to ensure seamless integration and effective implementation of the applications.
Performance Metrics: The Manufacturing Software Project Manager's success will be measured based on their ability to meet the firm plant startup schedule and provide regular status reports to key stakeholders.
