Job Description
Summary: The main function of a quality assurance specialist is to perform a wide variety of inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures for the manufacture of products utilizing good manufacturing practices guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs microbiological, biochemical and chemical evaluation of in-process product material and/or finished products.
Monitors critical equipment and instrumentation.
May also inspect raw materials.
May draft procedures and assist with validating and troubleshooting assays, as well as follow-up on any testing issues.
Writes and updates inspection procedures and checklists as necessary.
Skills:
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
Team player and detail oriented.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective devises and distribution of products.
Basic knowledge of devises and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience/training required.
Entry to 2 years experience required.
