ISCO Industries is an end-to-end piping solutions provider that specializes in HDPE. Manufacturing Project Managers work on a team that creates, builds, and implements tools, equipment, products, and solutions to give the operations and sales teams what they need to be the best in the industry. This position is based in our Louisville, KY fabrication facility where we have a dedicated projects area for product R & D, equipment design/development, and fabrication. Work with the Manufacturing Projects Team, individual plant leads, vendors, and suppliers to bring projects from conception to completion. Plan and manage projects from the Louisville office as well as travel to ISCO’s many sites for implementation and support. Work both independently and in collaboration within the Manufacturing Projects Team.
Essential Duties
- Perform project management tasks for existing and new Manufacturing Projects including creating and maintaining project:
- Charters
- Schedules
- Cost trackers
- Risk registers
- Lessons learned
- Communication with:
- On site vendors for facility projects and equipment installations
- Vendors for outsourced fabrication, machining etc.
- Equipment manufacturers
- Part suppliers
- Internal stakeholders including on site leadership, Manufacturing Projects Team, and Management
- Work extensively with Manufacturing Projects Team members as subject matter experts on a variety of Manufacturing Projects
- Some Manufacturing Project categories include:
- New equipment design and fabrication
- Existing equipment maintenance or overhaul
- New equipment specification and procurement
- Equipment installation
- New Product R&D
- Facility expansions/updates
- New facility construction
- Manufacturing process improvement
- Document and organize all projects worked on.
- Support operations and company initiatives.
- Perform other tasks as needed.
Base Qualifications and Competencies
- Education: Qualified candidates will possess, at minimum, a Bachelor's Degree. Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or other Engineering discipline preferred.
- Certifications: PMP certification preferred
- Experience: 5 – 15 years. Project management experience required. Experience with manufacturing equipment or facilities management preferred.
- Skills:
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.).
- Scheduling (Smartsheet preferred)
- Strong communication and organization skills required
