Job Description
Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following key duties:
Quotation Development:
- Collaborate with Applications, District Sales Managers, and Customers to gather technical specifications for capital quotations.
- Develop cost estimates using existing business systems, quoting programs, and other methods as necessary for non-standard applications.
Project Management:
- Complete assigned quotations on time, ensuring all backup documentation and costing information are appropriately stored.
- Manage assigned capital projects from quotation through successful customer installation and acceptance.
- Interface with various internal departments, including District Sales Managers, Application Engineers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Service, to maintain expected margins and project schedules.
Communication and Reporting:
- Regularly communicate project status on a weekly basis, reporting any deviations from the project schedule and gross margin expectations.
- Collaborate with other departments to address deficiencies and non-conformances, working closely with QC and manufacturing teams.
Quality Assurance:
- Coordinate all Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) activities as required.
- Ensure that project documentation is accurately and securely stored.
Travel and Other Tasks:
- Travel to customer sites for specific capital equipment installations as needed.
- Perform other tasks as requested to support the overall mission, values, and customer message of the company.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following employment standards:
- Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Pulp and Paper, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of related experience in project management.
