Job Title: Manufacturing Production Planner/Scheduler

Salary: $32.00 - $48.00/HR

Gen-El-Mec Associates, LLC is seeking a detail oriented individual whom excels in interpersonal communication to join our team as a Manufacturing Production Planner/Scheduler. This position will plan, schedule, coordinate and continually monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle to achieve both customer delivery requirements and internal financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain production schedules in alignment with customer orders, ensuring efficient resource utilization and meeting delivery deadlines

· Scheduling personnel, work center, external processing, and assembly

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to coordinate and prioritize tasks

· Analyze production capacity and identify areas for improvement in order to enhance overall efficiency

· Communicate with key stakeholders to provide regular updates on production status and address any potential issues

· Implement and maintain best practices in production planning to streamline processes, minimize lead times, and optimize WIP inventory levels

· Identify, evaluate, and maintain incoming materials in order to execute plans

· Expedite materials as required with detail and a high sense of urgency

· Work closely with the Operations Coordinator/Assistant to provide accurate delivery information to customers

· Ensure timely, clear, efficient and appropriate communication with company personnel concerning all facets of material supply, production schedules, and lead times

· Execute system transactions as needed

· Preform other job-related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Proven experience as a Production Planner or Scheduler in a manufacturing setting, preferably a job shop setting

· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and ERP systems

· Detail oriented with excellent organization skills

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to quickly analyze a situation and follow a systematic approach to problem resolution

Gen-El-Mec Assoc. is a top provider of complex aerospace machined components and has been providing these services for the past 61 years. We’re located in Oxford CT in a state-of-the-art 30,000 sqft climate-controlled facility built in 2012.

• 6:00am-3:30pm
• Monday to Friday

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field
- Proven experience in production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems and production management software
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
