Job Description
Position: Manufacturing Process Technician - Entry Level Shift: 1st shift – 7:00am-3:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints to assess manufacturability and feasibility of components, springs, and assemblies.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, and 5S to optimize production processes.
- Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and utilize statistical process control techniques in a production environment.
- Apply concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly principles to enhance efficiency.
- Uphold production standards, manage cost of quality, and employ various manufacturing methods to drive productivity.
- Utilize statistical process control methodologies, including Six Sigma, to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control process capability.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks) to create specifications for fixtures, assembly aids, gauges, machine designs, and floor plans.
- Develop and maintain visual work instructions to streamline operations.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Exhibit a detail-oriented and task-driven work ethic to ensure precision and accuracy in tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the manufacturing industry or a relevant manufacturing degree.
- Ability to interpret and analyze blueprints effectively.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and statistical process control techniques.
- Understanding of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly concepts.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks) preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
