Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits' products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits' sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary:
Develops and improves Manufacturing Processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.
Salary Range: $87,000 - $130,400 per year
Job Function:
  • Provides assistance and input in the area of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to the design teams.
  • Creates product specific documentation in support of the assembly processes for new products.
  • Evaluates Manufacturing Processes by conducting research; applying knowledge of assembly, tooling and materials; conferring with equipment engineering; soliciting observations from Mini-Circuits worldwide assembly facilities.
  • Develops Manufacturing Processes by studying product requirements; researching, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment engineering. Develops qualification plan, documentation and monitoring of pilot runs.
  • Analyses assembly flow and throughput for various processes and initiates acquisition/development/modification of manual and automated assembly equipment to improve quality, reduce cost and increase production capacity.
  • Analyses production assembly issues and provides guidance on rework and disposition.
  • Generate and reviews ECN for assembly related documentation.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; establishing standards and process capabilities and confirming Manufacturing Processes.
  • Prepares product/process reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Engineering or another scientific field/area of study.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in manufacturing and assembly environments.
  • Manufacturing methods and procedures.
  • Manufacturing problem solving methods.
  • Product development, presenting technical information.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PCB assembly related processes.
  • Working knowledge of Auto CAD, SOLIDWORKS.
