Job Summary:

The Test Manufacturing group within The Test Equipment Engineering directorate is seeking a Manufacturing Planner II to manage and lead the acquisition and manufacturing of Test Equipment. The Manufacturing Planner II will resolve test equipment and prototype manufacturing issues based on knowledge of the engineering design, need, and final intended application. This position includes generating and monitoring the progression of multiple requisitions through the procurement cycle, facilitating resolution of procurement issues, and insuring items are delivered to meet customers’ schedules. Utilize Engineering Manufacturing Management System (EMMS) to generate work orders, build/maintain indentured build of materials (IBOMS), generate material requisitions and provide material/work order status to customers.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Actively contribute to the design, acquisition, and manufacturing of complex test equipment including cables, chassis, electro/mechanical fixtures
• Participate in engineering design reviews
• Manage and maintain build configuration and quality history records
• Acquire, track, manage material from procurement through final delivery of completed test sets
• Assist in resolving manufacturing issues and overseeing delivery of final products to internal/external customers

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Bachelor’s Degree in Art and two (2) years of prior relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, six (6) years of relevant experience is required
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings related to ex. electrical instrumentation, assemblies, cables, chassis, electro-mechanical assemblies
• Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment area such as: safety, security, compliance or property management/control
• Experience with material procurement
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

• Previous experience working with test equipment or prototype engineering hardware
• Experience maintaining configuration control of products and drawings
• Experience interfacing directly with customers in an engineering/manufacturing environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office software and database applications
• Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts related to electrical instrumentation
• Exposure to the design, use, and fabrication of electrical instrumentation
• Experience dealing with supply chain and material obsolescence issues
• Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced teaming environment.
• Ability to take direction from Functional Management and IPT’s from multiple programs
