MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN  DIRECT HIRE

Greenville SC

Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and your voice is heard? We have a need for an Engineering Technician to work in Greenville South Carolina for a Tier 1 supplier.

The hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday and are from 6AM to 6PM (you will work 36 hours and get paid for 40).

Our client is offering a $7500.00 sign on bonus.

What you will be doing:
As an Engineering Technician, you will perform all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Operations Leader in coordination with the Manufacturing Engineers to assist in development of new production methods, improve existing production methods, troubleshooting technical, equipment and process related issues within the assigned Fuel Injector Product Group.

  • Assist in developing new manufacturing procedures for products based on performance specifications
  • Independently setup new part numbers on existing product lines.
  • Assist in developing troubleshooting/problem solving procedures for equipment and processes
  • Understand and modify electrical and electronic controls to improve equipment and processes
  • Modify/Program logic controllers for existing equipment and aid in creation of controls for new equipment.
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures based on specific equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Investigate non-conforming product and make corrective action recommendations
  • Perform project work as assigned by the Operations Leader/Manufacturing Engineers/Manufacturing Manager
  • Lead/Participate in problem solving methodologies (root cause analysis, 5 Why, Shainin/6 Sigma)
  • Summarize Investigation results to aid in permanent corrective actions


What you will need to be successful

  • AS Degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a minimum five years of similar work experience
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical and controls of machinery used in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electronic data acquisition
  • Experience with developing & troubleshooting machine controls – PLC, HMI, IED, etc.
