Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently seeking a high-performing Manufacturing Engineer who will drive on time delivery of flow of parts, processes, and standard products by applying Lean Manufacturing principals. The right person will be analytic, creative, and business focused problem solver with strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have a passion for seeing things improve and making a positive difference every day. The individual will spend much of their time developing materials flow through assembly, process design/implementation, and working directly with fabrication teams including improving production systems and tooling. Enjoy stimulating work on various sized projects in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting accuracy and decisiveness.

Requirements
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities: Manufacturing Engineering

• Hands-on Manufacturing Engineering - working with production staff to increase operational efficiency.
• Relentlessly driving at keeping production costs minimized and eliminating waste.
• Analyze, engineer, and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation including work instructions, engineered drawings, and detailed production reports.
• Ability to train and give process and manufacturability guidance to engineers, technicians, and operators.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineering, Production, and Quality Control, to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Conduct process analysis and optimization to reduce waste, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve overall efficiency.
• Develop and manage manufacturing and quality documentation, including work instructions, bills of materials, process flowcharts, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing lean manufacturing methodologies to drive process efficiency and cost reduction.
• Support investigations and RCCA into manufacturing related non-conformances
• Identify, recommend, implement, and support ERP/MRP automated solutions.
• "Self-starter" attitude and comfort in a hands-on environment, where you can influence product design to improve reliability, robustness, and performance.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical part and assembly drawings.
• Strong communication skills with a keen ability to solve problems within a cross functional environment.

• BS or advanced degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years in Manufacturing or related field required.
• Intimate knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Expert user of ERP and MRP systems
• Experienced with lean manufacturing principles and six sigma training preferred.
• Strong software skills including SolidWorks, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

• Schedule: Monday - Friday with flexible time schedules with options for working a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
• Salaried Position- Approximately $75,000 - $85,000 per year depending on experience.
