Manufacturing Cell Operator -2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs duties of operator on automated laser cutting machine. May be trained to perform setup and operation functions on all Manufacturing Cell machinery, which consists of automated punching, laser cutting, forming, and material handling equipment. Assists supervisor in identifying maintenance requirements. Performs all work activities following the Health and Safety Program and ISO Quality System. Evaluates fabrication processes to determine the best methods of production of sheet metal products. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.

JOB DUTIES :

1. Set up and operate automated laser cutting equipment.

2. Assist other team members in setup and operation functions as needed.

3. Maximize Manufacturing Cell output of quality fabricated metal parts per production schedule.

4. Ensure that the cell/MV is properly loaded with material for current and future job production at all stations.

5. Identify improvements in fabrication methods that will increase quality and profitability. 6. Provide information and/or support to Estimating Dept., CAD Dept., Quality Dept. or Production Dept. when requested.

7. Identify maintenance issues.

8. Help to solve problems related to product quality, production, delivery, or other task-related difficulties.

9. Comply with the Health and Safety Program.

10. Perform work activities in accordance with the ISO 9000 Quality System.

11. Exhibit a professional demeanor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Understands ISO 9000 Quality Systems.

2. Able to read drawings to include material and part specifications, tolerances, notes, symbols, and multiple part views.

3. Exhibits good problem-solving skills.

4. Exhibits adequate verbal and written communication skills.

5. Exhibits adequate employee relation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
