SalaryBackyard Buddy is an automotive lift company that has been manufacturing in the USA for more than 30 years. We are under new management and plan significant growth. We are looking for mechanical-minded people for our manufacturing operation.
Our schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10 hours a day. The position starts at 4:00 PM until 2:30 AM.
A typical day would include attending a startup meeting, receiving your job assignment, and completing different segments of the job until done for the day. You will assist in gathering supplies, and tools, cleaning, assembling, and following directions. You will have the opportunity to learn all of the jobs and often will have the opportunity to move between work centers regularly.
This job works in the manufacturing elements, so it’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The job can be dirty, greasy, sweaty, and smelly at times.
The working environment is fantastic as all of the team gets along well.

Must be neat in appearance, use professional language, have a positive attitude, and be fully responsible. We are a drug-free company and have a pre-employment drug screening program. You must have a clean driving record including a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities Include:
- Commitment to a safe work environment
- Required to receive, read, and understand specific instructions, basic drawings, work orders, and cut lists.
- Must have a mechanical understanding of the manufacturing process.
- Should be able to read and operate a tape measure and square.
- Required to keep work areas clean and clutter-free.
- Willingness to learn machine and equipment operation, safety, and preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge and use of common material handling equipment and their safe operation (forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks). Completion of Certified training program preferred.
- Knowledge and use of common power tools and their safe operation (standard shop tools, grinders, hand drills, impacts, wrenches).
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods with noisy machines in a fabrication shop environment, in temperatures, as well as humidity, that fluctuates by the season.
- Must wear proper personal protective equipment and comply with safety rules and policies.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, not limited to 50 lbs. as required.
- Will have strongly preferred 5 + years of manufacturing or mechanical experience.
- Reliable transportation and perfect attendance are required.
Backyard Buddy is a drug-free environment and conducts pre-employment drug testing for all employees.
The ability to weld is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour (evening shift differential)
